Julia A. Schaefer-Cutillo, MD

Dr. Schaefer-Cutillo graduated medical school at Downstate Medical School, Brooklyn, NY and completed her residency training at Yale New Haven Hospital, New Haven, CT. She went on to complete her fellowship at the University of Rochester Medical Center and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Medical Oncology.

Dr. Schaefer-Cutillo has a special interest in Women’s Health, specifically breast and gynecological cancers. She also specializes in disease prevention in women. She speaks conversational Spanish and is affiliated with Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Northern Dutchess Hospital and St. Francis Hospital. She actively participates in several NCI approved clinical trials that help to develop new treatments for different cancers. She is on the Board of Directors for Miles of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation. She is the Chief Medical Oncologist for the Vassar Brothers Medical Center Breast Cancer Committee. She frequently lectures to support groups on behalf of the American Cancer Society and she lectures for Breast and Colon Cancer Teaching Day at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
