Heidi Forst joined Hudson Valley Cancer Center in December 2016 as a Nurse Practitioner. She brings with her a vast knowledge of critical care, pulmonology, emergency and internal medicine. Heidi was the youngest nursing graduate from Dutchess Community College in 1989, and went on to receive her undergraduate education with honors at Pace University in 1993. After spending more than 10 years as a nurse, she achieved her Nurse Practitioner from SUNY Stony brook in 2005, and was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau Honors Society.
Ms. Forst’s training brings diversity to the practice. She has spent the last 12 years as part of Health Quest’s internal medicine team, where she was responsible from managing acute care and heading the rapid response team’s life saving efforts.
Ms. Forst has been passionate about oncology since the tragic loss of her husband, pulmonologist Dr. Steven Forst, to a malignant brain tumor. Her compassion and understanding makes her a valuable asset to our team. She will continue to uphold the practice’s values of providing the highest quality cancer care to the Hudson Valley.
